SPORTident is an electronic punching and identification timing system company. It was developed by a group of engineers based at Germany's AES GmbH electrical engineering company, who are also experienced sportspeople and orienteering runners. Developed two decades ago and now used in over 43 countries across many sports, including ARDF (Amateur Radio Direction Finding), multi-terrain bike orienteering (MTBO), foot orienteering, triathlon, Nordic walking and hiking, SPORTident is a simple, efficient and effective tracking system which has revolutionised data collection in orienteering.
